Rochelle Davis was born Andrea Rochelle Hunsberger June 14th 1980. She was born to Maun Doan Flanagan and John Davis Hunsberger. I guess you can see where the stage name came from. Born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania she spent part of her life there and part in Miami Florida. She moved back and forth to live with her mother and father. Mostly her mother. She has three siblings an older sister Avery, younger brother Luke and younger sister Ann Marie. At a very young age Drea (as she was called by loved ones) showed signs of being interested in the arts. At age 9 she decided she wanted to be an actress and went on two auditions. At that point she just wanted to be a kid so she stopped. At age 12 she decided again that this was her calling and started auditioning. The Crow was the first project she auditioned for after finding representation. After many call backs she finally was told she would be filming in Wilmington, North Carolina in a few weeks. Sadly after befriending Brandon Lee he was tragically killed in a gun accident on set. She spent over 12 hours in the hospital waiting for him to come out of surgery. She went home for a mourning period and came back to finish the movie about a month or two later. After she went home to just be a kid and found that people were cruel. Realizing the harness of people to Actors was terrible. Once you were considered a celebrity they stopped seeing you as a real person instead they saw you as a character on a screen.  The death and cruelty she faced was heartbreaking and put her into a deep depression for many years. She quit acting and tried to go back to living a normal life. At the age of 19 she married for the first time.  By the time she was 23 she was giving birth to her first and only child Destin Michael. She left her husband in 2005 for very good reasons. In 2006 she made a huge mistake trusting people she didn’t really know well because they protected her from a scary situation and landed herself in an even scarier one. She was incarcerated in 2006 for 4 months and let out with time served. since then she has been trying to get a life established that didn’t include getting in to bad situations. She met an amazing man, her husband Ken.  Doing well with that plan, and moving on to a somewhat normal life. Her life is still anything but normal but in a good way.

Thank you for your site. The movie was one that helped me in many ways and was something I could escape to. I bought the sounxtrack listened to it, and thought about the acting and lives of those involved. Thank you for being there for Brandon, he was an example for me, a good one and helped me to see to live my life not wondering what others thought of me.Thank you for your words here also.
    Stay strong,

Well, I admit I can be one of those who has some difficulty seeing a celeb as a real person, not all though. Though I love the essence of the crow, and Brandon’s presence in it, I find it hard to relate to him, especially when one of the fans cursed me over a misunderstanding to the point I fired back. But this is a very nice site, u look great, keep ur head up, and be proud because you are a great actress and you are blessed to survive many obstacles. Life does hurt to mostly every special person in this world, famous or not. Happy Holidays!

I’m glad you’ve finally reappeared and I’m sorry for the painful situations you’ve faced. Your bio reminds me that we all sail troubled waters in life, in one form or another. I wish nothing but peace for you, henceforth.

The Crow is still my favorite movie of all time. You, Brandon, and all the actors were fantastic and made a classic. My way of honoring Brandon (I’m a huge fan of his father) is to never see the other Crow movies; I felt releasing those films amounted to a money-grab based on the popularity of the original.

As it was Brandon’s birthday yesterday, I just watched the movie again with my kids. They also really love the movie. Can’t blame them.

Anyway, wishing you all the best in life, and here’s hoping we see you on the screen more. You were awesome in The Crow, so I know you’ll do well in the future.

    Hi Rochelle

I loved this movie since it came out… You are not only strong person but a talented actress. I have a couple of questions:

    1. Do you keep in contact with any of the cast from The Crow? If so, who?
    2. What do you think of the remake of The Crow? I think details of who is playing who are still being worked out.

    • Rochelle says:

Yes I do keep in contact with some of the cast especially Ernie Hudson and 2. I don’t think they should a remake and if they do we should all boycott it

  11. Troy says:

I am watching The Crow now. It was on last night and I DVR’d it.

The Crow is one of the best movies I have ever seen and I hold it near to my heart. You are a great actress and its a shame that kids are so cruel I think I remember from Bensalem I never went there I went to catholic but you were always cool around my friends. But anyway hope all is well.

  17. Daryn says:

Hey Rochelle, I have had many version of the crow since it came out from vhs to bluray and always wondered who the girl was who was so deep into her role and well connected to the part. You could honestly feel the bond you had with Brandon. When I read some time ago that you took a break from acting it made me so sad for that loss for all involved and what I feel is a classic film that touched me to the core. I was glad that you had a website allowing others to get a view of your world and the woman you are now… I’m glad you have found happiness and still hold the past near to your heart. I’m curious, the neckless in the film that Brandon gave you, did you get to keep that or a personal artifact given you?

    • Rochelle says:

That was so unbelievably nice those things you said thank you so much for visiting my page. I love to meet Crow fans where are you from maybe I will be at a convention near you at some point next year? It will be the 20th year the movie was released. I didn’t get the necklace with the ring because I was too upset at the time to remember to grab it from the prop people. However an extremely sweet fan of mine by the name of Misty gave me an exact replica that I now where on my right ring finger which it fits perfectly. Meant to be I guess. Anyway I hope you come back to my page and comment more Nice chatting with you for now

I am just watching “The Crow” for the first time right now on Showtime. I was so impressed with the acting of the young girl, Sarah, that I had to look up who this talented actress is. And I discovered Rochelle Davis. I fully expected you to be in a raft of other films, but in reading your very personal and revealing and honest bio here I see the journey you have been on. And amazingly, I see you were just posting on here, too. I wish you all the best, and hope perhaps you will see your way through to again using your incredible talents to return to acting or whatever artistic pursuits you choose. I am glad I discovered “The Crow,” and glad I discovered Rochelle Davis. I’ll be looking for you in days to come. — Frank
